Arizona Media Partner PEP Assets and Instructions
The Public Education Program (PEP) funds the vast majority of costs that keep our Arizona Media Association alive. In support of PEP, we ask each Arizona local media brand to donate a small portion of ad inventory.
Here are the current PEP partner assets and instructions, updated once monthly on or around the 22nd of each month:
FOR ALL MEDIA PARTNERS: Monthly Run Requests + Reporting Need
What is PEP?
The Public Education Program (PEP) is a one-of-a-kind service for Arizona government agencies and non-profit groups to help advertise messages that are in the public interest. PEP funds the vast majority of costs that keep our Arizona Media Association alive plus the program ensures public interest ads reach Arizona audiences even when budgets might not otherwise allow that reach.
Without a strong PEP program, the Arizona Media Association (AMA) simply couldn’t exist. Arizona media brands benefit from PEP directly through funds geared towards programs that strengthen our industry, including paid internships, statewide media research, professional training, and a growing foundation that supports Arizona’s local media future. PEP never competes with our members’ paid advertising—it only complements it. Through PEP, each Arizona media brand commits to contributing a small share of monthly ad inventory from their own channels. The AMA then offers this space at a deeply discounted rate to a limited number (7–10) of nonprofit and government partners, for public education campaigns.
Run requests from each TV and radio station:
- Air at least 100 spots/month on each owned station. We humbly ask you to schedule the airings across all day parts. If you have digital-only channels, this inventory is also welcomed and extremely helpful.
- Split inventory between all PEP campaigns. Please give each of our campaigns equal ad runs when you split up the inventory. We usually have 7-10 partners depending on the month.
-
Provide timely monthly reporting so we can account for your runs.
