Arizona Media Association to partner with A-Mark Foundation to put on 2026 investigative journalism contest for cash prize
In order to celebrate the exceptional investigative journalism done by local media across Arizona and across platforms, the Arizona Media Association is partnering with the A-Mark Foundation to hold an investigative journalism contest in 2026, where the top three winners will receive a cash prize and be celebrated at an awards happy hour event in November 2026. The Copper State A-Mark Prize Investigative Journalism Awards will hand out a total of $15,000 shared among the top three entries and their outlet. All Arizona Media Association members, from TV, radio, print and digital platforms, are eligible to enter. Entries will be judged by experienced journalists from outside of Arizona.
The contest is open now! Entries will be accepted until July 31, 2026. Works published between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026 are eligible for entry. Organizations can submit up to five entries.
