Chief Engineer
KAZT-TV Channel 7 in the Phoenix (Prescott) DMA has an opening for the position of Chief Engineer. Responsibilites include oversight of all engineering and technical operations:
· Continued maintenance of full power transmitter (Prescott), Class A transmitter (Phoenix) and four additional translators throughout Arizona
· Developing and maintaining all aspects of broadcast transmission routes, including cost projections and negotiation of purchase terms
· Maintenance of all station broadcast and IT equipment
· Managing technical staff
· Knowledge base of current and emerging technologies
Qualifications include:
· Three-five years pertinent RF experience
· Up-to-date knowledge of FCC rules and regulations for broadcasters
· Society of Broadcast Engineers certification as a Broadcast Television Engineer
· Strong IT/network knowledge and experience
· Great communication skills and creative thinking
· Ability to relocate to beautiful mile high Prescott, AZ with travel as needed to Phoenix and other translator sites
