Arizona Lotus Corp is accepting applications from Qualified, Experienced individuals for an immediate opening as a Full-Time Promotions & Marketing Director for our radio stations: KMXZ, KLPX, KFMA, KFFN, KCMT, KTKT, KCMT-HD2.

Position Summary:

The Promotions and Marketing Director is a team leader specializing in working with an experienced sales team and program directors to generate greater revenue and ratings on our stations. We are seeking a self-motivated, high achiever with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Marketing Director Position:

Ø  Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external departments on developing and implementing promotional, marketing and event concepts for the Az. Lotus 7-station cluster.

Ø  Represent station at community events and promotions.

Ø  Work closely with Promotions Manager to implement on-air contesting, on-site client promotions, station events and website promotions.

Ø  Act as liaison between the Programming and Sales Departments to develop overall station campaigns, themes, and marketing approaches.

Ø  Enhance sales activity with creative event promotions partnering with local and national businesses utilizing station brand, on-air personalities, on air giveaways and creating compelling listener incentives.

Ø  Provide creative influence to enhance the stations’ images and visibility within the community to attract listeners and clients.

Ø  Hire, manage and train staff of ten+ full/ part time employees and interns to execute sales and stations remote broadcasts and events.

Ø  Day-to-day management within the Promotions Department including policies and procedures.

Ø  Work with programming and sales to develop, manage and execute ratings and revenue generating promotions for the radio stations.

Ø  Manage production, ticket sales, marketing in collaboration with sales/programming departments for 3-4 major station events and concerts.

Ø  Collaborate with Promotions Manager and supervise market/stations contests including originating or adapting ideas, arranging prizes and listener events.

Ø  Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.

Ø  Assist with setting up and representing the station(s) for site appearances at various locations and events.

Ø  Assist with coordination of required equipment and personnel between departments.

Ø  Customer service is oriented to act as a contact between listeners and the station during events and promotions.

Ø  Requires visits to client offices and premises.

Ø  Required client outings to sports and other entertainment events.

Ø  Troubleshoot issues as necessary.

Ø  Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

Ø  Establish and maintain working relationships with local promoters and media outlets including TV, Newspaper, Tucson/Phoenix area magazines, online publications, and local businesses.

Ø  Write press releases and work with the local media to highlight events for both Top Rated Radio Stations including the annual festivals, charity/community work as branding the stations and on-air personalities.

Ø  Coordinate the Design and Marketing brand strategies with team and creative including station vehicles, station branded products, bus ads, trolley, bus bench ads, newspaper ads, billboards, and commercials.

Ø  Propose, Manage, and implement yearly Promotions and Marketing budget for seven radio stations.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ø  Bachelors’ degree in marketing, communications or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience with progressive management experience.

Ø  Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ø  Bilingual Capabilities preferred.

Ø  Must be a motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter who is able to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

Ø  Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently.

Ø  Strong Adobe Photoshop and MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel, and Word).

Ø  Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Ø  Strong written and verbal communications skills

Ø  Must be detail oriented.

Ø  Experience in Hiring, training, and Managing staff.

Ø  Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

 Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift or move a minimum of 50+ pounds and stand for long periods may be required.  Requires travel to station events and client sites, valid driver’s license is required with good driving record.  Must have a reliable means of transportation and maintain current insurance and registration.
