Each month, the ABA asks our Washington-based law firm partner to flag us on any FCC violations for broadcasters so they know what type of issues can create a problem.

This fall, the FCC’s media bureau issued violations that included:

TV duopoly violation may lead to $500k fine from FCC
FCC admonishes Indiana broadcaster for late license renewal application
Noncommercial broadcaster fined $9,000 for late-filed issues/programs lists

FCC proposes stiff fines for 2 TV Stations with late-filed forms
Cable sports network receives proposed fee of $20,000 for EAS violation

One of the ABA’s most sought-offer services is our Arizona Broadcasters Inspection Program.

The program is part of a unique partnership with the FCC that allows us to train stations on all FCC rules, have an ABA inspector audit practices, and give stations a 3-year moratorium on most FCC inspections.

While 2021 inspections are underway, we’ll begin taking requests for 2022 next month.
