COVID-19 vaccine access for Arizona local media
February 4, 2021 by Arizona Media Association Uncategorized Leave a comment
Arizona local media has been identified as part of the “essential workers” designation for Arizona’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution. This designation means that most Arizona local media employees may be eligible for vaccinations before the general public, but only after the most at-risk populations are prioritized.
The Arizona vaccine distribution process is broken up into multiple phases. Four Arizona counties have now moved to the vaccination phase that includes essential workers like local media.
Those counties are Apache, Navajo, La Paz and Santa Cruz. The rest of the counties are in phase 1B priority (which doesn’t yet include local media). You can track the county-by-county process here.
Once vaccinations are available to essential workers in your country, Arizona local media employees should be able to individually apply through the website listed above. We’ve been in touch with GMs from nearly every station and are working with the Arizona Department of Health Services too. As you can imagine, this process is very fluid and may require adjustment. Please reach out with continued questions.
