ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
Univision Arizona is looking for a Director of Sales to join our team!
The Director of Sales will create and drive strategic sales strategy to achieve goals, exceed revenue, and drive performance. Demonstrates proficient knowledge in forecasting and planning to hit targets and meet organizational objectives. Expert knowledge of client base and business product to leverage key opportunities. Possesses exceptional leadership qualities in a team focused environment. The Director of Sales possesses the ability to influence and engage all stakeholders across the organization.
The Director of Sales must establish strategic multi-media platforms demonstrating to a client and/or prospective client that Univision’s properties are the premier connection between the client and the Hispanic consumer.
Responsible for implementing and driving strategic direction for local market sales organization across all platforms of business.
Responsible for developing, executing, and growing revenue targets in partnership with the entire sales organization.
Accountable for coaching and developing sales managers and account executives to understand their client needs.
Build and drive sales expansion strategy for the local market in conjunction with Local Market Operations to effectively Go-To-Market, understanding the competitive landscape, presence, and strength within the market.
Closely work with sales and market teams to ensure the value proposition, assets, training, support structures, and incentive plans are all in place for a strong sales motion in line with our platform and capabilities.
Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals and identify external threats and opportunities by analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape.
Directs, oversees, strategizes, and leads the Sales team. Motivates, coaches, trains, and manages team’s performance.
Responsible for stations’ annual Business Plan and its implementation; stations’ pricing, and inventory control.
Accompany Sales Managers, Account Executives on client calls, locally or nationally, on an as needed basis.
Works closely with Research Managers in developing information, presentations, and sales tools; works closely with Local, National and Digital Sales Team to meet/exceed targets, goals, and expectations. Works with the Traffic Department to prioritize inventory placement in oversold situations.
Communicates clear expectations around organizational priorities and maintains a team atmosphere that is conducive to a successful and productive working environment.
A minimum of 5 years of Sales Leadership experience required.
Demonstrated prior experience successfully leading a team of sales leaders.
Expert knowledge on target buyers, market trends, and competitive offerings across the local, national and digital landscape and how this intersects with our offerings.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization including executive and C-Suite level.
Thorough understanding of Nielsen, Miller Kaplan, Kantar, Marketron REV, Strata, Matrix, and other relevant resources preferred.
Extensive knowledge of sales and business acumen, advertising agencies, strong influence and negotiating skills.
College degree preferred.
Television, Radio and Digital sales management experience in a significant market preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills preferred.
